Really well built jacket though. Feels super tough. My dilemma now is whether even to try an exchange for a Small. I fear even that might be far too big.

I decided on the exchange. So I should have a Small with me in a few days.

I hope that size works, because it seemed an excellent jacket.

This Sportclad arrived at my proxy in Japan.

Also a Bates BAJ-A1 a repro of their 70s model. These are not made in USA despite the tag but licensed product of Bates Japan. A shop on yahoo jp is getting rid of these at half price.

Red, White and Blue Hercules from the 40s. I saw it on ebay around 5, made an offer, but could not wait..so I BIN. Even at the BIN it would not have lasted overnight. I've got a similar jacket in a shorter version.

I can not seem to pass on these wool jackets and they aren't cheap!

Thank you. Nowadays, I usually place a sniper bid and do not come back to watch. This one I placed a sniper bid and was watching it at the closing time. I own a later model with the quilt lining and sewed in throat strap. Have been looking for this earlier model for a while. We would have gone into a bidding war and I would certainly lose LOL.

Haha I doubt it, these auctions often end in odd times for me. I always need to place one bid and that’s it. I’m glad it went to a good home!

Nice catch. I love my FourSpeed x-zip - so much so that I ended up buying another one. I have yet to come across a straight-zip model in my size though. Probably for the best, since I've been trying real hard to dial back on the leather jacket buys haha

I'm afraid I've never handled a Lost Worlds jacket in person so I can't compare the two, but I'd classify it as comfortably midweight! Very easy to wear (temperature permitting). Still waiting on the other x-zip to arrive, which looks beefier by comparison in the photos, but it's difficult to tell for sure. I'll share more details once I've got it in hand.
