A most excellent find, indeed! I don't have any hats I keep in a glass display case, but I would be tempted if I owned that one.

Today I went and picked up my newest addition. The man who I purchased this from said that his grandfather had this in his closet for many, many years. His family had a large farm in New Jersey and when the farm was sold after over a hundred years, he was going through the property and found this treasure. I asked him where his grandfather would of bought this hat and he wasn't sure as he or anyone else in the family ever saw hm wear a fedora. So for what ever reason, the hat was stored away and never worn. Now I've heard both sides of the coin on these vintage Stephen L. Stetson hats but what peaked my interest is, I was able to purchase it for less than 100.00. The hat was never worn, not even once, it came with the original box, and all the tags are still attached to the sweat band. Whether you're opinion of Stephen L Stetson hats is a good one or not so great, one thing is for sure, this was a treasure I couldn't pass up. Though it's a 7 1/8 and I wear a 7 3/8, I'm not even going to try and do anything with it.

Stetson again, but this time from the frigid northwest shores of Lake Michigan where I grew up:

Prepping for yet another road trip to Virginia, in a Gannon.
Good to see you posting again, Alan. Great shape and colurs on that hat.

Lovely hat, Joe. Great shades of brown, perfect for fall.

Good looking Stetson, Jonathan. I like the boxpleat bow.
A trip to Osaka in my Borsalino.
Sushi for lunch…

Then a reunion of sorts with some workmates from 30 odd years ago.
The beer flowed and there was much mirth!
30 years! Time flies, but I was lucky to work with such a great bunch of people.

Borsalino and leather jacket; doesn't get much cooler than that. Well done, Gary.

Longhair heather hats. Excellent choice, Reggie.

Good morning Stefan, your hats bring much cheer to an old man who, with his wife, is laid up with a miserable flu bug. Tina has a Covid testing kit, mercifully we both tested negative, the vaccines must be doing their job.
The Mossant Oxford Bleu appears twice and for good reason, it's magnificent, however it's not my choice. I am really taken by the Barbisio Qualita Extra, maybe it's that attractive shade of green bordering on khaki or is it just the style? I love it.

Can I go back to bed now?

I suggest taking a good dose of brandy before doing so. Thank you, Robert.

Home and enjoying the light snow under the brim of a VS Stratoliner inspired fedora. The dove beaver felt hue is a favorite of mine.
