That is without a doubt the best wool Indiana jones I’ve ever seen……Heading out to watch our granddaughter's elementary school symphony under a new to me late 40s or early 50s Stetson Twenty-five.
This is the one I snagged that was listed as a wool Indiana Jones.

You did a very nice job bringing that back, Gary. And I, for one, always enjoy posts where members gush about their latest (or at least today's) hat. Keep on writing!
Nice save Gary !! Always cool to know the back story on these old hats...
What a great score!! I wonder how many of us didn't even read the listing carefully? Kudos, Don!!Heading out to watch our granddaughter's elementary school symphony under a new to me late 40s or early 50s Stetson Twenty-five.

Winner!!!! That bow alone is STUPENDOUS, Alan!!Today, an unusual WWII era hat made and sold in what is now the Czech Republic... one from an incredible collection of NOS hats that @mayserwegener came across in 2015. The felt might be a wool/hare mix - it is heavy and thick - and the overall finish and materials feel spartan as one might expect from wartime supply shortages in Europe. The styling is wonderful and flattering to wear. Note the triangular bow wrap... not sure I have seen this done before or since. Steve has (as always) remarkable research on the maker here: https://germanaustrianhats.invision...rolinenthal-karlin-hussinetz-husinec-bohemia/

Those are very good colors both together and on you.View attachment 702745 View attachment 702744
A silver/grey Susquehana, made to measure, hat. Bought to compliment the shirt that my wife, Tina, made for me. The waistcoat looks more like a scarf, my photography is of the, "Don't Give Up The Day Job Ilk."

A color coordinated dog in pictures is a good thing indeed. Browns and tans are particularly versatile lolToday a Dobbs Gay Prince.
I color coordinated with Mollie in the background. View attachment 702573 View attachment 702574 View attachment 702575
beautiful! Keep the stories coming!Sears Roebuck early 60’s, I’m going to say 1964, and that’s only because that’s my birth year, but really I have no idea, lol. Anyway, since Randall posted that beautiful Sears Roebuck of his several pages ago, I’ve got a little more appreciation for this loved beater hat I have here.
One of my favorite parts of it happens to be the original owner’s business card, which you can see (really a photocopy to preserve the original) stuck behind the sweatband as it was when I bought it.
I wish I had a before picture of it - this thing looked like it had been in the back window of a car for several years with the ribbon faded to light gray on the front and left side, and then wadded up and crammed under the seat. I was able to bring the ribbon back to black and steam it back to some kind of decent shape, and it’s now a fun beater to wear.
Sorry guys, I know I need to work on shortening my posts. Sometimes I get carried away talking about these things.

That is in beautiful condition.Early to mid 60s Sears Pilgrim for me today.
5x beaver quality same as @Randall Renshaw showed earlier in the week.
This is a nice hat, but the green color doesn't photograph well.
