I’ve also been on a denim bender. Bought and returned this Lee Storm Rider reissue. The denim is from Japan and is just amazing. Hard to describe how well they reproduced the feel of 70s Left Hand Twill denim! Made in Italy and no complaints with construction. Unfortunately, the fit is awful: long and tubular. I returned it to the seller the next day.

Ah, yes I had one of those repro storm riders as well. The fit was absolutely horrendous. Same p2p and hem measurement, absolutely no taper what so ever. And looooong. I saw a guy model it on Instagram once and it looked pretty good on him. He was 2 meters long and extremely thin. So I guess there's a body type for it. If you're average height or below and have a tiny bit of muscle, it looks horrible.

I found this interesting jacket on my usual lunch break vinted trawling. Never heard of Josef Polman and can't find anything on the internet about him. Lining feels like moleskin, main zip is Ritsch and the pockets zips are by Zipp.

I couldn't turn it down. Unfortunately not the size it was advertised at so it will more than likely be sold on to fund my search for a Jean Shop NYC Moto Jacket in goatskin.

I found a picture of a Luftwaffe jacket that matches up pretty well but i think the one i have is post war. Military jackets is a rabbit hole I've not really gone down.

Goatskin LL Bean A-2 arrived, and as stated in the ad, the back and sleeves are 28"--I prefer this to the 27" Cooper (Body/Sleeve) A-2, given 6'3' height and longer torso and arm length. Handwarmer pockets are semi-hidden underneath the outer patch pockets, and I think they might be handy in the cold. Not as obtrusive as separate side "slash" pockets. Internal left-side cloth pouch fits cell phone fine. Minor gripe is that there is no sewn-in leather hanging strap at the neck. Fortunately, I bought some 1" leather strapping for my G-2 project.

If in-transit UK leather jerkin lacks a hang loop, I'll cut the 1" wide strap into 1/2" strips and have my tailor sew the hang loops into both items.

Nice. Question for you: if you’re ordering from Japan shipping to Vietnam, aren’t you afraid that the shipped item would get lost? I heard receiving packages in Vietnam is not reliable. How do you deal with that, risking a high value item and all?

It all depends on where you are. Cities are fine. It becomes a bit unreliable when it get to the rural areas.

I can buy any item in Japan. There are many purchasing and shipping companies. They buy directly and then bring the goods to the warehouse in Japan. After receiving the goods, they ship them by air and deliver them to me.

I once paid over $100 for a 3-day delivery of a one-page document to HCMC from the US through US Post Office. It got there in over a week. At a minimum, you got it delivered.

I had that thought of delivering the Haversack jacket to VN i ended up taking that gamble just because of the exact reason you’re bringing up
