I'm having to travel from FL to NYC tomorrow and I'm afraid of what I might find when I get there. Not only NO! but H E L L NO!!!!![]()
I spent years in the cold (US Army Infantry, Ski Instructor, Alpine Mountaineering, Ice Climbing etc etc) And I am done with the cold stuffI'm having to travel from FL to NYC tomorrow and I'm afraid of what I might find when I get there.
Mark, Thank You!Great googly moogly, Steve!!!!! WINNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic hat, Daniele. Barbisio deserves more recognition for their hats.An excellent felt manufacturer, Barbisio of Sagliano Micca has rarely dabbled in short, medium, or long-haired finishes.

I have a few in my collection, but they're very rare.

Today, I'm showing you a Barbisio Sper - Extra Lusso with a "Taupé" finish in very light gray and a midnight blue hatband.

The felt surface is one of the softest I've ever felt, and the hat's finish is first-rate.
I've found something similar on both Borsalino and Panizza; this one is a marvel.

The finish is somewhere between a "peach" and an "antelope," but with a slightly more prominent pile.
Thanks a lot for your likes and words. Have a nice Sunday and keep the hats flow coming
Great week Stefan. love that Mossant
Thank you, gentlemen. Much appreciated.I absolutely LOVE Stefan Sundays!!! This week I'm choosing the Borsalino Dattero as #1, the Mossant as #2, and the Tonak as #3. Thank you, as always, for sharing Stefan.
That is a real beauty, Jack. Really like these Arminto style hats. We don't get to see them that often.Knox American Royal Arminto for the Saddle and Sirloin Club.

John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. That is just next level, Steve. What a hat!Echter Borsilino "Qualità Superiore", possibly mid to later 1930s. Unfortunately the Borsalino Paper Label is missing but the separate Size Stamp is present. The Felt Finish is similar to Velour Soleil so shows a high amount of gloss and is very pliable so easily dry creases. There is a mix of colors so a Melange. I found this Soft Felt back in 2021.

Oh, VERY nice, HJ!
Thanks, but that was really just a trick of the subdued sunlight. The coat's actually a plain old grey in color. Not everyone can pull off a plum sport coat.
That looks pretty sharp. Nicely done.

Thanks guys! The Saddle & Sirloin Club was formed just after WWII & is still around. You can see in this pic from when the club attended a rodeo in NM in 1955.Oh, VERY nice, HJ!
Stefan, Thanks! Great series of hats from you this past weekend. All fantastic! That is just next level, Steve. What a hat!
Thanks from both of us, Mark. Two absolute winners, Gary! I ESPECIALLY love the trimmings on your Dobbs, and Etsuko's AWESOME jacket.
Great hat as always, Rick!Coldest morning of the season so far... Time for a big warm 4x American Hat Co unit up top ( one of the old Houston Texas hats)

Thanks, HB. It is blanket lined but it’s an old Type III. I think they discontinued these some years ago. The chore coat is a good get and I like the Detroit jacket as well.I like the hat and carhartt combo too. Is that a blanket lined chore coat, Mr. Greg? I've been telling myself to get one of those for nearly 30 years. Two classic American icons worn together hand in hand, like they's made for each other. I love my old Carhartt but it's a bit heavy for some our milder winters down South. I'm gonna have to round me up a second hand chore coat for them "not so cold" winter days.
