This is a stiff brim fedora with a relatively stiff crown. Optimo calls this color "Blue Pearl". I'm getting used to wearing this type of hat brim up. Sometimes I wear it with a pinch, the remnants of which you can see in the ripples I haven't fully smoothed out yet.

I really can't wait for cool weather to come back around. By then I should have a bunch of really cool Panama hats that it will be too cold to wear. ;)

Would it have been a good idea to turn the other way to get a better shot of the bow? Why yes, it would have been. Apparently I can't tell my right from my left.

Pretty sure all the woven hemp stratoliners and open roads are all pretty current hats. My oldest hemp stratoliner is maybe 7-8 yrs old
I think that's correct. I even recall, within the last decade or so, a news report about federal legislation or regulations opening up hemp production for things like hats, since growing the plant could be used for, you know, "other" things.

A pre-war Royal Stetson montecristi in remarkable condition, save for missing the little sweatband bow. I wish I were a fly on the wall when the art department brought that logo into the print shop.

Simply Fantastic hat!!! Agree about the logo.....there were a couple of companies doing those blue/grey split logos at that time, Mallory was one.

And I think Dobbs also, may have had more....I did not really understand them either.

Capitalising on the morning sunshine, it turned out perceptive. We have had rain in a Biblical torrent since lunchtime.
My Gamble & Gu-nn bespoke hat inspired Tina. She had both the pattern to make the trousers and an almost matching fabric. The shirt has her label on it too, but you guessed that.
