I've run more rounds through mine than I can count ( .38 +P, the K frame is a tad too light for a steady diet of .357, but when the SHTF, they love .357 Hydra Shoks). Taurus makes a more than acceptable knock- off, at a lower price, and unquestioned warrany policy, than S&W, who largely suck these days. It's an ingenious design for a lightweight combat magnum.
What questions do you have? They shoot great, conceal great, and are pretty. Slap a set of fake ivory Micarta grips on it, and you've got a dandy, deadly, gentleman's piece. Get one.

Unquestionably what I was looking for (and I like everything else you included too)! Haha, I'm glad the big guy upstairs carries one, too. lol :eusa_clap

Speaking of grips, I'd love to get a set of Herrett's Bill Jordan (Trooper?) grips on a revolver. Herrett does them in wood, Pachmayr has a rubber composite set that is shaped about the same where the back strap is brought out to more towards vertical and fills the web and palm a bit more. Supposed to help with high energy magnum rounds. Bill Jordan's book "No Second Place Winner" is a great book for the pistoleros here.

Yes it does. I've shot many handguns; this is my favorite. It's a terrific handling weapon. I'll post a S&W 22 with the same frame, another great S&W in the gun case. I'll put some of my other guns on soon as I get the time.

Beautiful piece, Tim(Z.?) ... just before he passed, Dad gave me his 4" 586 and as mentioned, those S&W wheel guns are so accurate and handsome, to boot!

About 2.5 years ago and back on page-12 of this thread I mentioned that one day I might purchase Heckler & Koch's 45C and well, I did and here she is ... though it sees occasional use as my ccw (condition-1), I'm still most confident/comfortable with my P7M8.

... and while I am at it (polymer), here's a shot of one of my favorite back-country fly fishing pieces, a Glock 20 10mm ...

The Colt's Dragoon was a much larger revolver than the ones in this set. These appear to be, clockwise from the top, an 1851 Navy Model, an 1849 Pocket Model and, on the left and pointing up, an 1855 Sidehammer Pocket Model (also commonly called the Colt's Root revolver).

Nice set, and with all the accessories, too, including two molds, one for each caliber, no doubt.

That's an extraordinary set of Colts.

I've recently bought a couple of nice SLE doubles, a 12 and a 16, am hoping to figure my new digital camera out soon and will try to get pics up here.

The 12 is a fully engraved Zabala Hermanos and the other is a Brno ZP47 which I feel is one of the most under-appreciated shotguns of all time. Coil spring sidelocks, chopper lumps, hand fitted, ejectors, auto safety, bushed pins, hidden "Purdey nose" third fastener, etc. all for $500. If it were a London gun it would cost you at least 10 times the money.

S&W 22 Long Rifle CTG.

If anyone can tell me more on this plinker, feedback welcome. I’m not sure of a model number or name other that what is on the gun.

This S&W Six Shooter belonged to my Brother-N-Law.

He bought it new; I am guessing late 70’s early 80’s.

I acquired it about 2 years ago after he passed away.

I love the grip and the deep Bluing. It’s a fun gun to practice with and weighs about as much as my S&W 686 – 357 Mag. with the same frame.

1916 German Mauser-8MM "Spandau Armory"

I find it hard to get pictures of the entire gun but will try again; meanwhile here is a shot of the Mauser Action and the receiver.

My Dad bought this Sporterized 1916 era 8 MM Mauser in the 60's and paid 40 dollars for it at the time. He loved this gun, and noted it must have been an Officers gun because the bore is perfect and was hardly used. He also noted that the Mausers from the Spandau Armory were the best of the best.

I've been shooting this gun since childhood and back then the gun had a steel butt plate, needless to say I had a black and blue shoulder on a few occasions.

This is my gun of choice for hunting. It is much lighter than my 70's BDL 30-06. That is an asset to a guy who likes to walk and stalk when conditions permit.

I prefer open sights and can take a deer at 100 yards comfortably through the smallest opening and freehand with this dead on Mauser.

It's hard to believe that it will be a Hundred years old in 2016, and functioning like it did day 1. I'll use this old gun for my deer hunts until I can no longer hunt and I hope that I get another 25 plus years out there. It's a little dry right now, I didn't want to oil it up and get my background cloth that I shoot my hats on ruined. But the bluing is really nice and the wood is in really nice shape.
