Round 2 Beauty Box thread

The second box has shipped for katiesparkles to combine with the other one fortworthgal so graciously started. She should have it on Saturday!

Katiesparkles, looks like you got some good stuff out of the first box! I put the coral colored lippy in there from Covergirl, I knew you might take it since I saw you mention in another thread that you like orange colored lipsticks. Orange just does not suit me at all! I also put in the shampoos, they were from a swanky hotel I stayed at for work. I have plenty more stashed for the next round! Glad to see the alligator clips and pincurl clips found a good home too!

My daughter helped me bag those up, she was so proud!

Yay, tell your little girl she did a great job!

I think you can never ever have enough hair clips, I seem to always lose mine after a few weeks of having them (like my sponge rollers... the sock stealing elf living in my house must also be into vintage 'dos...). And that lippie is fantastic, I'm actually wearing it today - Such a pretty color!

I'm so glad to see the vintage travel soaps are finding new homes! I've had a HUGE box of those sitting in our hallway closet for about 2 years now. We bought a massive haul of them (literally probably 300 bars) at a flea market a few years ago. What I put in the beauty box is all that remains after using them for footlocker displays and giving them to friends.

Here's my loot:

The Bath & Body Works shampoo (actually leaked a bit into the plastic baggy, so I decided to give it a new home on my bathroom shelf and take the respective conditioners as well, so it doesn't get lonely.. lol! The clips were in their own separate bags, but I thought it would be best to reuse them for some of the things I'm putting in! Box 1 is pretty packed at the moment... Can't wait to play Make Up Tetris with Box 2 lol Gals, there are some awesome things coming your way!

Nice haul!!! I am so glad you took that Make Up For Ever star powder. I had that sitting in my cosmetic chest and I've never been able to figure out how to use it best. I'm glad it found a good home!

Ohhhhh, trust me - I wanted to take ALL the soaps!

They are just so cute! I display them in my bathroom

I hope no one will try to actually use them lol No worries, ladies, there are still soaps left!!

By the way, the Yardley soap smells SO good. I want to eat it up.

And I love the star powder, I think it could look great as a subtle highlighter when applied with a very, very light hand or on top of shadow!

I'll play around with it this weekend and keep you posted. Thanks so much for including it!

Hello lovely Misses, I just wanted to give a quick update: The box arrived, and I'm positive that I'll be able to pack it nice and safe to send off to Zombi soon. Unfortunately I won't be able to get to the postal office until Saturday

I hope that's okay. I thought about bringing the box to work and send it during lunch, but it's too heavy to carry around in addition to all the crap I need to take to work.. :eusa_doh:

Another quick update

So I said I'd get everything out on Saturday.. sigh.. well, I kind of messed up :/ All PO's around here are only open until ~1 pm Saturdays, so I set my alarm for 12 pm which would have left me plenty of time... Unfortunately, I may have slept through.. ugh. So, so sorry ladies! In all seriousness, I woke up literally 20 mins before the further away PO was closing - the closer one was already done for the day by that time - , but since my husband was at work I had no way of getting there in 20 mins (I don't drive)

. Everything's neatly packed though, and he'll send it off tomorrow morning/noon. Zombi, I'll PM you the tracking # as soon as he sends it to me! I included a few extras so make up for the delay!

I have the box! I work my night shifts tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday, so the earliest I'll have the box out is Tuesday. But I'll post again and let you know! And I'll give you photos once I open it and make my choices

All right, I'm having some issues with my camera right now but I'm taking an eyeshadow primer, some of the small soaps (but not all!), the Nivea honey lip balms, an Elf gel black eyeliner, and a tin of Nivea creme. I am still working my way through the contents of this monstrosity hahahahahaha.... no idea how I am going to pack in all the things I put aside to add!! I will do my best to get a picture before I mail it out to Canada.

I had to stuff the new contents (and some "old", small ones) on the edges of the box so it would actually close!! It was quite the adventure packing it for sure!!! So much fun though!

I just remembered I still didn't post a pic of the 2nd box contents I took, will definitely do that as soon as I come home. Sorry for being MIA ladies!

Public Service Announcement: The box did not go out because I ELOPED TO VEGAS AND GOT LEGALLY MARRIED and while I was there, I made sure to go to the Guerlain boutique and request samples of Shalimar. They are now in the box which I am stuffing full and hoping I can tape shut. I'll take a photo with my phone IN the post office to prove I've sent it!

I thought you gals might like a bit of Shalimar in the box

It's been sent!! I had a time with the customs form because apparently I can't ever fill out the right one the first time around, ugh. BUT the box is sent! I was so flustered with the forms I didn't take its photo but I took its photo on my sofa.... I'll try to get that off and put up here. But! Olive Bleu, be on the lookout! Mr. Zombi and I taped that box to kingdom come so good luck opening it.

Wow! congratulations!! I was beginning to worry when the box didn't show up, so frankly I'm relieved that it's just being sent now. I'll just have to take one of those Shalimar samples as compensation.
