SHOCKING that this Stetson that is in such "good condition" and "ready to ship" has been put on ebay several times already without a single bid...

I'm not really a size 7 either, but I have been lusting after one of these for a long time and couldn't pass this up at the price. I'll either pull the sweat and ribbon myself and upsize it one and a half into a LO or if its nice enough In person, let Neil at Shudde brothers do it for me. That's a nice hat at a great price. If you destroy it, you're only out $37. Looks almost too nice, I'd be afraid to mess with it.

So, are you saying you don't want it?

If you have not yet noticed, some hats are sold on Ebay by people who have zero knowledge. They find something old....and to them it just might as well be a feather hat from Merry Old England
200 years ago!

Perhaps do what others do: click your mouse and move on. It won't sell to "us" but maybe someone needs a prop for a school play or something.

Agreed, I am a size 7 1/2 and have a fairly nice collection of vintage hats (10) but would have at least twice that if I were a 7 or 7 1/8, you can even find cool vintage hats in stores if you wear a smaller size, I can't tell you how many times I have been in a vintage store and seen a cool hat from across the room and it turns out to be tiny, in fact I have only found one vintage hat my size in store in my entire life, the rest have been on eBay or etsy and they are hard to come by on those sites as well.

My experience has been exactly the opposite. I always see more larger hats than smaller hats.

Most of the better vintage hats I've seen on ebay and etsy have been for big heads in the 7 1/2 area.

I guess it's the "grass is always greener" thing. [huh]

I would say the same. A lot of them in size 7 or 7 1/8 and almost none in 7 1/4 or 7 3/8...

Ditto. I've never found a single 7 1/2 in local antique shops. Found a 7 5/8 straw once that was nasty with sweat stains. I got one hat from Etsy, 3 from fellow loungers and the rest from Ebay. There is a lot of 7 1/2's on here we're competing with and even some who aren't but buy them anyway.
