Picked up this Selentino relatively cheap. Re-creased it more to my liking to a quasi diamond.

An oldie; I'm thinking thirties (note the mention of H.M the King on the label).
Woodrow&Sons fedora in brown. First one I found in my size. Bound brim at 6,5cm and crown 10cm at the center dent. The hat shows its age and the ribbon has the most wear for some reason (but I'm reluctant to have it replaced). The crown patch was covered with cellophane, but it was a mess. I managed to restore it to a reasonable standard without the covering.
The nice thing about it is that has vents on the side, which is the first time I've seen that on an English hat. Felt is in excellent shape, with a lovely hand.

Here's a new one to me. A mixed blessing of sorts, because I was very happy finding it, but very sad that it's not my size. I actually found one of these before (also not my size

), but this one is of a different quality designation.
Borsalino Export Qualität lobbia in the colour Morello (which is supposed to be a dark brown, but looks more like a warm grey to my eye). Size 58 (or 7 1/4 American), with the brim at 6cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. Qualitá Speciale on the liner, which is quite rare on Borsalino homburg hats.
It'll find its way to the classifieds soon.

Quick pix out of the shipping box.

Olive green 2 1/2" brim OC every bit of 6". No stitching on brim. Can't say for sure but the ribbon seems to be original. My oldest Playboy.

First one for today (it's sunday already over here).
Echter Mayser Superbe in black. I have plenty of black hats and the black ones don't get much appreciation here, but this one was just too good to leave behind. Lovely shape and great hand to the felt. Size 56 with the brim a tad over 6cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. Especially made for Hut Göbelhoff of Hannover, Germany. It's not often the quality designation is on the sweatband with Mayser hats. I come across hats for Göbelhoff quite often (but not of this quality). From what I found they existed from 1949 to 1978. This one is date stamped. I believe it says 17 mai 1958 (could be 1968, but the liner is stitched in, which was something Mayser stopped doing in the early sixties).

Let's continue with a few new hats. Picked this one up last friday.
Eres-Kent in grey. Size 56 with the bound brim at 6cm and crown at 10,5cm at the center dent. As an aside: I found out that this hat is exactly how I like the proportions of my hats. I keep notes on all of hats in a spreadsheet and this week I let it calculate the average crown height and brim size for the whole collection. The measurements of this hat came out as a result.
Don't know anything about the brand, but both its shape and the felt, which has a great hand to it, spoke to me. I like the colour of it too, a bit understated. Did I need it? No, but I wanted it (collecting 101

). Maybe Steve knows more (well, he does, but about this brand I mean).
Hirmer is a store that's been around for a while: founded in 1914 they're still going strong today.

Another recent one I almost forgot about. Borsalino Ludoela in Ghiaccio colour. Size 57 with the bound brim at 7cm and the crown 11cm at the center dent. Made for the American market. Imported by Harry Holland (which appeals to me of course

) of Amarillo, Texas. Has "original house" on the sweatband, in stead of "Antica Casa" and I forgot why that is of some importance. Judging by the liner and label this is an older hat, probably forties, but could even be late thirties. It has its scars and it maybe could do with a cleaning, but I'm not going to mess with it.

This felt is incredible: very soft and a lovely hand to it. It takes the term malleable to the next level. If you look at the pictures closely you can see some indentations just above the ribbon. I wondered what those were until I discovered that those are the places where the liner is stitched to the felt, pulling the felt inwards! Even the moths showed respect for it: they started off in a few places but apparently decided to leave it in peace.

Another recent addition. Took a chance with this because it was a size small for me. It won't let me forget that and resists fitting me so far with everything it's got (which is quite a lot).
Wormser The Carlisle supreme quality in grey. Bound brim at 6,5cm and crown 11cm at the center dent. To be honest I'm not all that impressed with the felt quality on this one. Fairly stiff felt and not as smooth a hand to it as I would have thought. Am I just unlucky or is this what ca be expected of Wormser?
Its styling however does make up for a good deal, because it does look great.

Found this little prize locally. I don’t usually buy hats unless they’re my size, but this one would fit my lady friend, and will go to her if she likes it. Otherwise I’ll sell it, I suppose. It sits pretty high on my own head! [emoji23]

Stetson XXXXXXX Clear Beaver, absolutely flawless cattleman Open Road. It has a really neat pin and I can’t quite tell what it is.

A banner Monday for me - six new-to-me hats in one day...and three more scheduled to arrive later this week! Hi, my name is Randy and I'm addicted................................................

First, a Stetson Twenty Five with updates by Hat Master, Art Fawcett. I'll post more details on this one in a few days.

A Champ short-hair trilby. Thank you Brent @deadlyhandsome

A mid-gray Dobbs with a slate/purple ribbon. It looks darker in these pictures and the purple does not stand out well. I put it against my Granite Gannon with Slate ribbon for comparison. Thanks again @deadlyhandsome

A 3X OR. This one has some mothing around the ribbon, but it will work for casual settings and puttering around the garden. I also picked up an OR clone on FB but it is very worn and dirty and will be one of my beaters; not really worthy of pictures here!

Last, a milan straw OR clone I picked up on eBay. I still have some work to do on this one. It came in very brittle, both straw and liner, so I've given it some steam and started in on a Gus crease so it doesn't look quite so much like a clown hat on my head!

You've been busy, Randy. Nice addictions, erm...additions. Let's be charitable and say you're doing conservation work as a volunteer, preserving American hat history. Commendable work I'd say!
