Sent to a friend, then another and eventually returned. It took a world tour. Came home unscathed, actually repaired in one spot. It’s my all time fav CR. Totally suits my current MO as well. It’s hard to capture but the top coat on the sleeves is worn away to the point that the leather underneath( a dull gray) is showing through. It’s tagged a 44LL but as you know these run super trim. Good for only unzipped t shirt fit but the lengths hit just right.

Love this. And the angled pockets are icing on the cake.

Sir, this incredible jacket looks absolutely fantastic on you!
DWTH, what kind of leather treatment have you used/applied to make this jacket look so deep juicy shiny colored, with all these incredibly gorgeous wrinkles? I mean all the nice wrinkles and folds, not only on the sleeves, but on its body area too, right in between handwarmer slanted pockets, from both sides of main zipper too. What's the secret over here?

I doing this my Vanson. You’ve convinced me. I can see how your jacket developed a soul. My Vanson doesn’t have one yet. Did you use hot or just like warm water? I sprayed the collar and sleeves to create shape and creases but they didn’t really last. I think it needs a soak. Still has a vinyl bag look to it. I wear this jacket every weekend in the AM until the eye rolling wife daughter duo awaken. I’m determined to see it through with this jacket b/c I like the fit but the hide could use some personality adjustment.

"I wear this jacket every weekend in the AM until the eye rolling wife daughter duo awaken."

Know that feeling well, "why is dad up so early on the weekends?"

Yeah and this batch of z150 is nothing like cxl (others have been). It’s super soft, almost spongy and too shiny. I was actually hoping the water might stiffen it up/dull it a bit. Is this wrong minded? Should I just roll around in the dirt? I dunno. Maybe just continue to wearing it inside. Like a job.

I stopped by Vanson last week while in the area for work. I could've spent hours in that place. The z150 is a rare beast of a leather. Heavy and thick but surprisingly wearable. Note, I found myself fighting with HOrween CXL and this wasn't the case with z150.

The biggest surprise was the Firenze. I really liked the comet and was surprised how substantial it felt. It's no lightweight by any means. It's a heavier and stiffer than shinki or ELMC's Italian HH. VAnson's waxed stuff is also very cool.

On an unrelated note, a show started on AMC last week, NOS4ATU about vampires (I think). It was filmed in RI (not far from Vanson in Fall River) and I've already picked out two Vanson jackets in the first episode. Both characters ride so it was kinda cool. Not surprisingly the crew did that movie magic that makes a new jacket look old.

This vintage Schott has made me a real fan of heavy suede. Wears super easy, almost like denim jacket.
I’ll be looking out for other styles in suede. I really like it, especially when it’s well worn. Has a really rustic feel to it. I suppose I need to vary up my t shirt selections. LOL. Plus, I match my dog.
