I like wearing a coat as much as anyone, but I'm happy we're getting warmer weather for a bit!

This summer was no summer at all in England. I'll be ready for Autumn when it's meant to be here, and not before!

lol Different strokes, eh? The few disgustingly hot days we did have aside, this Summer was almost perfect for me - saving that I would have preferred it to rain more often and be just a touch cooler. In my ideal world, there would be no Summer at all - spring would instead merge directly into Autumn. :)

8 to 9C today with a very strong wind, so perfect jacket weather. Once again an opportunity to break in the new Irvin!

Hi Folks,

This past weekend we got our first tropical system of the season. Tropical Storm Gabrielle made landfall about forty miles from my front door. She didn't make much difference in the temperature, though. Yesterday, the thermometers hit ninety-five. The local weatherguessers say a series of cold fronts is now fast approaching which will lower our temps and dewpoints a bit. Also, Invest 91L (presently, only a tropical wave) looks to be a possible player in the East Coast's future. It'll be interesting to see what transpires, weatherwise, before my jackets are able to make their Autumn reappearance.

After two days of heat, humidity, and rain the temperature is finally cooling down here in NYC. I am wearing a sport jacket today but looking forward to breaking in the a2!

Here in Scandinavia it's slowly - but surely - getting colder. But we still have that great clear sky with some sun, so typical of the fall. (love it!)

Today it was around 14 C. dropping to around 3-5 C at night.
Deffinately A2 weather.
In about a month it will be perfect "Irvin weather"

"USMC bondknocker"? What's that, a gunny sergeant who's bearish on fixed income securities? lol

(Yes, I know it's actually "boondocker.")

Here in the greater NYC metroplex we had 60s and partly cloudy with breezes. So I got out the Bronco A-2 with the tight arms (and remember friends, it's not a real Bronco unless the arms are 2 sizes smaller than the body. Accept no imitations!) Comfy enough - till I got in the car.

Don't ask me what happened in the car.

18th september.... i think..

It is the 18th of september today, and the weather is cold and overcast here on the welsh coast.it has definately become chilly today.as i was downstairs,i felt the chill, and realised,it has been the same chilly feeling i have been having most of the early summer, during july and a few days in august.it is 10 degrees here today, and we were getting about 10 - 12 degrees in late july.
On that note,at least the cool summer has been nice and refreshing, and not hot, humid and stifling as it was in 2006.I felt really bad for people in california when they were suffering the horrific 100 degrees and upwards this summer.we had a really bad summer in the uk this year, and it looks like the californians got all the sunshine, and unfortunately, all the humid heat.

I notice a welcome chill in the East London air this morning too. :) About time I got my wardrobe sorted out and ready for winter.

In this part of Wales it's cool but brilliantly sunny.
It's a pity you go on to say it was "really bad" - of course, it was so for those areas that were flooded. Temperatures are neither good nor bad, though the weather forecasters like to think so. Many of us wilt at high temperatures (I do over 25C) and will have been delighted with the cool summer. It's good to see so many concurring with this opinion.
There are some interesting summer clothes, but to me the clothes of winter are smarter and far more satisfying to wear. If only we could have winter temperatures together with summer day-length!

Business finds me this week in Philadelphia, where the wind last night carried the hint of changing seasons, of dried leaves tumbling down sidewalks and moons fat and full in a cold sky. And here I am without the A-2.
