I had been using a old 6 color desert boonie hat as my summer casual hat for, oh, about the last 14 years. Last year my wife informed me I was too old to wear cammo while not hunting, and the hat was a bit ragged. So, this is my new "about town in shorts" hat. So much more functional then a baseball cap don't you think. Over all seems to be good construction. Word of warning: I got an XL, tag says it's a 7 3/4, but it's more like a tight 7 5/8. If you have a mortal size head, don't worry, it also has a shock cord for easy adjustment.

Boonie caps will always hold a special place in my heart from my Army days! I have one in black and tiger stripe and want one in ACU.

Hi all.

I purchased this lid for £40 last June; it is not exactly a brand new purchase but it is my newest and only lid I have.

I do not know what make it is as it does not have any company label, but it does state that it was born in the USA.
