1950's era house being cleaned out

If you are in the San Francisco Bay Area, and are interested in period furniture from the 1950's plus probably house items (lamps, etc), please post a note to this thread.

I'm helping a family clean out their family home and have gotten permission to post items to the Lounge for sale from approximately Wed-Thurs evening this week, so keep tabs on the Classifieds during that period.

On Friday, the seller will post the items for sale on Craigslist.

You will have to contact the seller directly and pick up in Santa Clara. I am NOT the seller and he will NOT ship. And no, I don't know what he has available.

Update

I just finished my first round of cleaning with the family:

1) The furniture pics and prices will be uploaded by Thursday evening.
If you are interested in any piece, contact the seller directly. He will be offering items for pickup on Saturday or Sunday for cash. You MUST pick up the items by Sunday. No exceptions on the rule - in other words, if you want it, you MUST pick it up and can't decide to pick it up a week later.

What's being sold so far:
*Two separate 1950's bedroom sets
*One set of 1930's speakers
*Lamps
*End Tables
*1950's metal desk
*Desk accessories
*2 Sewing machines in cabinets
*Free square ottomon
*1950's large house fan
*More to come

2) The family was very generous and I now have a huge carload of things for people on the Lounge. Most of this is 1960's women's clothing and shoes. Stay tuned, I will be offering ALL items for FREE as time permits in my schedule.

It looks like the furniture in the homes my family had when I was growing up. I'd go for those old speakers if I wasn't working on Saturday. Since I have to get a storage space for most of my (too much) stuff it's probably a good thing I can't go. It looks like it'll be fun for you 50's fans, though. That's a great price for the sofa with a hide a bed.

As a side note, if anyone is interested in the vacuums, you should call as early as possible on Friday morning (at a reasonable time). There is quite a lot of interest and I expect someone to snap those up right away before the estate sale starts on Saturday.
