    Waterloo Bridge 1940

One of my favorite movies was the 1940 hit, Waterloo Bridge, starring Robert Taylor and Vivien Leigh. The acting was superb and the story line was heart wrenching. Has anyone else seen this fine motion picture?

    Der Fuehrer's Face

Adolf Galland was an outstanding tactician and excellent flier. Werner Von Braun was also a Nazi but changed after the war just like Galland. Galland was a flier first and had heated arguments with both Hitler and Goering. During the war, he was somewhat of a rogue that couldn't be disciplined...

    Conrad Veidt (1893-1943)

Everyone remembers Major Strasser in the legendary film Casablanca, starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman. The actor that played the part, Conrad Veidt, was one of the great actors in Europe before he had to flee Nazi Germany in 1933. Has anyone seen his 1928 film, "The Man Who Laughs"...

    Sunset Blvd.

I can see the cast now---Ashton Kutcher, Naiomi Watts, Hulk Hogan and Julia Roberts. Can't wait to hear Hulk Hogan's German accent as he plays Von Stroeheim's character as Max. Most of all, would love to see Julia Roberts play the Norma Desmond part and saying the classic line: "I am big. It's...

    Lady in the Lake (1947)

I think this was one of the most innovated movies of its time period. Anyone else think this adapation of Raymond Chandler's book was an interesting concept? In addition, Robert Montgomery was outstanding in the role of Phillip Marlow.
