I hear ya.
I'm about to put the netting over the blueberies- or I can kiss them all goodbye.
Meanwhile the veg garden is all in. This year I'm trying out the purple kohlrabis.
I pushed some blackberries through a strainer into a shaker. Then squeezed a quarter of a lemon and poured it with Jim Beam Black and Cointreau over the blackberries still in the strainer and pushed it all around into the shaker. Iced and shaken and into a cocktail glass with an orange rind and...
I just finished off a bottle of DH Krahn Gin. Very light juniper and a touch of citrus, almost sweet. Made for fantastic martinis, Dolin vermouth completed this concoction perfectly.:eusa_clap
Yup Sulfur, I have written in large letters on my spray chart "NO SULFUR ON APRICOTS". Only captan or copper, but not too much copper because it can build in the soil below and kill earthworms. So I've read.

I find a thin batter works for me. I also separate the eggs then emulsify the yolks with melted butter and whip the whites before adding the yolks and buttermilk. Then combine the wet with the dry.
