I've been making a fish recipe called Matelote these days. Bottom fish like seabass, blackfish, and porgy all do well with this. It's a whole lot of leeks and it's relatives (onion, chives, shallots,,,), maybe some mushrooms, with a claret wine sauce where the fish is poached, then all...
English Stilton cheese and barley wine. Actually, I think barley wine goes well with many cheeses.
And I like hefeweizen with limburger. Of course the beer should never be too cold.
Two peach trees are loaded and as you called it the Moorepark apricot just needed another season or so. This year I had about a half of a bushelof apricots! Redhaven peach are coming now and Halehaven by next week.:)

Thoroughbred: Fresh peach- pureed, bourbon, a squeeze of lemon, a drop of Agostura, iced then topped with soda. I garnish mine with a homemade candied vanilla bean.

I just got my hands on Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout and Canadian Breakfast Stout. Both I've had a tastings and festivals and rank with me as the best stouts. Oh why can't they just make more?..

I don't know if I've said this before but North Coast Brewing is one of my favorites. I always have their Brother Theloniuos in my basement. Have you ever had the Old Stock Ale or the OSA Cellar Reserve? Good stuff.
It is big thing. I have a local distributor who does this for his 12 tap growler station. You ought to see the crowds when they announce something like World Wide Stout is being tapped.
De Stuise Brouwers in Belgium has a series they call Pannepot, Old Fisherman's Ale. Very rich and complex with flavors of raisins, brown sugar, and spices and a very long finish. If you like Belgians and you can find any in the series including the Reservas give it a shot.

Aside from military hats, what do like to go with your military coat or jacket? A-2 and a fedora- of course, but what about the others? A-1s, Irvins, Tankers, B-10s, ANJ-4s, M-69s, N-1s, B-3s, or whatever you have in your collection and wear.
