I also have a Moores "The Tween" Bowler hat for sale, this one is one size larger 7 1/2 & 1/16th and it's probably from the 30s (wider brim and taller crown). This one actually does fit, but I just don't really wear it anymore.
PM me if you're interested!
Ps. I...
Here's my Herbert Johnson bowler hat.
I guess it's from the 60's. It's a size 7 3/8 UK so that's a size 7 1/2 US.
It doesn't fit me (I'm a size 7 5/8 - 7 3/4 US) unfortunately, so that's why I want to sell it. It's in practically mint condition, no moth bites that I...
Hmm, I've always wanted a Homburg to compliment my vintage whippet (Difficult to find a vtg homburg in 7 5/8 or 7 3/4. I seriously lucked out when I got my vtg whippet in 7 5/8 Extra Long oval (I'm regular oval myself) !
Anybody know what Stetson call their Homburg hats nowadays?
I agree with you, but I think the last film was a bit dull to be honest. Frankly, all of the Bond movies not starring Sean Connery are quite forgettable to me. It's good entertainment for 2hrs but if you asked me about the plot a week later I couldn't tell you (This goes for most of the crap...
I feel the same thing. Most of the sex scenes doesn't further the plot at all, so they're rather pointless to me. If the characters are visiting a brothel or a stripclub (in a more modern series obviously) I'd expect some scantily clad women, and that's fine, but I really don't need to watch...
I'd take those stories with a huge grain of salt. You know how people like to spice things up a little for the sake of a good story. How many times haven't we heard; Guy #1 "Man, yesterdays party was aaawesome!" Gut #2 "Wait until you hear MY story, it was even more crazy and decadent than...
Thanks, I was a bit worried about that when I first tried them on (size 10.5, even though I wear a size 10 in sneakers) , but they feel quite nice now, even though getting them off is a bit tricky, but I think it'll improve with time (I've only worn them 3 times so far..) I'll get a picture up...
I won this hat just recently ; http://www.ebay.com/itm/120958524286?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_916wt_1190 I have a big noggin (I usually wear a size 7 3/4 but sometimes I can wear a size 7 1/2 depending on the hat) so Whippets in this size are pretty rare. The Whippet...
To be honest, I find his personal style pretty sad and bland. He doesn't stand out at all in his horribly cut suits. If we're talking about style, Mr. Cooper, Roger Sterling and Layne(?) Pryce far outshone him in that department.
"Emm Eff" as in mother-effer you mean? I wouldn't know as I didn't exist back in those days (did you grow up in the 60s? ) . I've heard some ww2 veterans and people from that era use the f-word several times, but I've never really heard that other variant from people of that generation...
Swedish/Danish/Norwegian are mutually intelligible, I think that you'll find that if you travel there, (unless you already have) most people speak better English than the average guy in a non-english speaking country. We're (Norwegians) certainly better than the Germans!
30s to late 40s early 50s for both men an women. I do think that the pants on the suits made in the 40s can be a bit too wide, but aside from that, that's my favorite era.
