    Tie identification help?

Been trying to work out the kind of tie my Great Grandfather is wearing in a picture I have of him, the best I can get to is that it's a kind of cravat tied as a tie? Can anyone help identify and maybe point me towards somewhere I could get one? Here's the picture... Thanks, Bill

    FS: Champ Featherweight 7 1/4

I have here a lovely circa late 1950's Champ Featherweight in a wonderful light brown colour. This a a lovely lightweight hat perfect as a spring/summer felt hat, I've worn it the last two years through the summer, only selling to make room and as I have two light weight Adam's that have taken...

    Lee Warren 7 1/4

For sale we have a nice example of Lee's pre-formed crowns. This Lee Warren has seen wear in the past as can be seen from the name written on the liner and the water (sweat?) stains to the liner. The felt is still strong but there are slight signs of wear. Brim: 2 1/8" with wide binding...

German Made Stetson Premier 7 1/4

Here we have a Stetson Premier, made under license in Germany. Reminds me somewhat of the Public Enemies hat. The colour is hard to nail down, but in daylight it's charcoal with blue undertones. The ribbon is dark maroon. It's certainly not perfect, needs a good steam as the felt is slightly...

Lovely Green Stingy Brim Knox Fedora 7 1/4

For sale here is a Knox that I no longer wear. The shade of green is a lovely dark green, photos don't do it justice, the satin liner is a matching green colour which is a nice touch. I cannot find any moth bites on it. The reed of the sweatband is slightly worn (see pictures). Brim 1 5/8"...

    British Hat Ads

I've been collecting these for a little while so thought I'd start posting them up when I have the chance to (though my filing system is non-existent so finding them at times is a challenge). Here's the first two I could find (mainly because they arrived this morning). Battersby Hats from...

Detachable Collar Shirts... from TM Lewin?

Seems Tm Lewin are now selling tunic shirts with detachable collars, currently 4 for £90 at the moment. I've ordered a couple (I normally buy shirts from them anyway), they don't seem to be selling the studs though. I'll look forward to seeing how good they are in a couple of days.

    Snook the Hatters

Thought I'd share this, having spotted it in the recent Chap Magazine. There's a small shop in the English countryside (Dorset), who seems to be trying to singlehandedly keep the hat alive. It is T. Snook - Hatter and Gentlemans Outfitter: http://www.snooksthehatters.co.uk They seem to...

    Cheap Linen Suit - London

Just got back from Jermyn Street, happened to be delivering one of my suits to Roderick Charles for some running repairs and they are currently having a sale on their linen suits. The jackets are 99.99GBP (think RRP is 375) and the trousers are 39.99GBP (normally 120), the trousers have...

    FS: Stetson Whippet 7 1/4

OK, after much deliberation I've decided to let this go, I have recently received an Adam that has the exact proportions of the Whippet and the same colour as this one. Ss much as I like it, I don't think it'll receive as much wear as it deserves. Classic 50's Whippet $200 + postage -...

Have you got an Adam sitting on your shelf at home? Gathering dust, not being worn? Size 7 1/4 or 7 3/8? The why not let someone pay you to dispose of it so that you'll never have to look at it again. Good prices paid. Thanks for reading, Your friendly neighborhood Adam dustbin.

Tracking the history of hat models

I don't know if anyone has already used this/posted this but it is very useful in tracking the timeline of certain hat models. Google News Archive Search has many newspapers worth of articles and ads indexed within it, and shows mentions over a timeline. For instance a search of Stetson...
