Yeah, I'm a CD and XM man myself, though XM Radio tends to get like cable television at times--so many channels and nothing to listen to.:p

Album-wise, Sheer Heart Attack (by Queen) is the one that gets played the most followed by a big band compilation CD I have.

LOL. I have a friend who plays the MMORPG "World of War Craft" to that tune.

Hah! I can see that happening. I'm familiar with it, good choice of music for that game. Every time I listen to it, I think of things blowing up. Usually, I just envision things I'd like to see exploding.

It varies from day to day.

I have about 250 mp3s and counting in my PC. Everything from Xavier Cugat to Frank Sinatra, to Steel Pulse, to Harry Belefonte, to Rammstien, to Simple Minds, to Echo and the Bunnymen.
It's like a box of chocolates. [huh]

iTunes keeps a running count of the number of times a particular song gets played and automatically updates a playlist called Top 25 Most Played - that's what we've been pasting in. My 25 random most recently played is totally different (and gives a better idea of my music tastes)

I have respect for rap/hip-hop as a musical genre, but so much of it is bogged down in misogyny, obscenity, etc. And it's not so much embarrassment; I really don't listen to that much rap. Most of the rap I do listen to are songs that were lodged in my head back in the 90's when I actually watched MTV.

If there's any embarrassment, it stems from the fact that I'm a middle-class white boy from the suburbs.:D

Oh, okay. Rap today (as well as modern R&B) needs a renaissance. Its all crap. If youre gonna listen to any rap it has to be the 'vintage' stuff from 1978-1987. :D
