A 40s Pimp Hat? Do you dare bid?

Just saw this on Ebay, can't tell if its really vintage but thought I'd post it just to share.

Is it Vintage, Zoot or pimp or what. Too fancy for me.

Might be a Zoot Hat. But that's a big might. It appear to be a ladies hat more likely. Something you might see at Santa Anita durring the 1940's or later. That's my take on it anyway.

I looked before I read Daniels opinion, and I thought ladies also.
However, didn't all ladies hats use to be the same size, like 6 5/8 or such?

Isn't the bow on a ladies hat on the opposite side as on a mens hat?

I'm not a great expert, but even at first glance I'd have to say that the only way that could be a "40s hat" is if it was manufactured in a sweatshop on 48th Street sometime in the 80s.
