I thought it would be a neat idea to see what we looked like before we got into vintage and after. I'm still not sure why I liked how looked then! Just goes to show you how much your tastes can change I suppose. ;)

Of course, my younger brothers still heartily say I looked better before. But I guess we need people who enjoy different things, it would be pretty boring if we were all the same. (Privately however, I think if we all dressed vintage I think we'd make a rather dashing group)

Your hair is so much more beautiful these days, Kiri! I wish mine was so long and lush; I really have trouble getting mine into any kind of style.

Here's a couple of me from about 5 years ago...

(I have no photos of it in full length, but this was my mini dress from when I went through a 60s phase at uni)

Boy do I have some shockers both from before and after!
The first is from around three years ago- around the time I starting to love wearing vintage more and more. I think I stopped dying my hair pink by this time….notice the snowwoman with the tilt hat!
And the next pic is yours truly (Up to date!) in my every day apparel.
[IMG] darn it I can't get the pic any smaller!

    sorry for the bad pictures:D

oh and here is one from many moons ago where I'm sporting a fading pink do and a goofy smile! :p

Same year. I think I was into the vintage by now, but it was really in it's embryonic stages!

The vintage thing for me started since I developed an allergy to hair dye that was such an integral part of my look a few years before. I sometimes miss it, since it was easier to dress all black all the time, but I don't miss the hair upkeep (getting colored and straightened), or the monotonous way of dress, (rock and roll influenced) which is pretty common here. Since I started dressing in this style I've been wearing a lot of my vintage-pattern sewing projects, so what I've been wearing has been definitely more unique.

You are all pretty, but vintage gives you such a refined and feminine look.

Even before I dressed vintage I was watching old movies and listing to Doris Day, Rosemary Clooney and Ella Fitzgerald. The Music and movies came first then the clothes and hair.

Incredible how much vintage makes people look better.

I was going to put myself on here, but then I realized this was in the powder room, I think it should be moved to General Attire.
