I was more concerned that they used an apostrophe: X’s. As it’s neither possessive nor a contraction, the apostrophe is inappropriate. The whole time I had the hat on my head I’d be ashamed of the grammar.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that notices these things. I get yelled at for pointing it out, unless I’m assisting with homework, but I notice.
If a straw hat has X count it is due to the beavers urinating on the plants the straw is harvested from. I hope that hat doesn't smell like beaver piss.

I’ve had a seller insist that a VS Milan hat was made from beaver. “I went to the website and all his hats are beaver.” So wrong in so many ways. I did end up with the hat.

I just use them apostasy thingys when they look right cause being possessive is a drag and a contraction never feels good.
