Excelled Sheepskin G1 with no date on tag

Hi I am new to the Fedora Lounge but, have been reading about US Navy leather flight jackets and the many forms of subject. I own a few and the one I go to most is an Excelled G1. However, there is no date of manufacture. The tag reads: Jacket, Flyers, Intermediate, Type G1. Mil-J-7823E[AS]. Contract No. SPO-100-C2-M-EC26. EXCELLED SHEEPSKIN & LEATHER COAT CO. DATE OF MANUFACTURE...… NSN[8415-00-268-7801]. I was shocked to learn that the Mil-J-7823E [AS] is made of cowhide and the fur collar is not fur! So now I would like to know the year this was made. Any help or thoughts will be much appreciated. Thanks Michaelp
