Good store to buy a hat

Title says it all. I am in Augusta, Georgia(2 hours from Atlanta) and wanted to find a "real" shop to try hats. Don't know of any around here but hoped some of you folks could direct me to a good shop. Will be in southern California early next year so if there is anything there I should look into that would work. Thanks and looking forward to some helpfull feedback.

I bought a nice Stetson thin-ribbon Milan straw hat there a few summers back. The selection was good, better than it seems from the website, and the proprietor did a nice job of picking a hat to fit my face. This is the hat shop mentioned in the Atlanta Journal article recently about the modern day, fedora-wearing homocide detectives.
