How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Another little gamble from me. Kurland jacket with very cool lining. Belt removed? Oh well.

Was not really advertised as anything special in Japan. Not sure if it will fit so I did my tried and true method of scientific data gathering: smoking a little joint and comparing photos to jackets that do and do not fit. If it ain't fit I'm sure someone else will be happy.

One way I use that seems to work well is how much shoulder overhang it has on the hanger. And I stay away from the jackets on wire hangers, only the ones that look like they’re on wooden suit hangers. Tag size helps a lot too but a lot of vintage have their tags chopped off.
If it’s 3” collars on that jacket it could have close to 18” front shoulder width making it a good size 40. But those wire hangers comes in too many sizes and most are narrower 15” ones. It’s a gamble. Interested to find out how it turns out.
The number 5 Talon is about 1” so there is hope…

Placed an Aero Hooch Hauler order in the end of June.
Final details confirmed around mid July.
Start of August this jacket was finished but we decided to do a remake because the shoulders turned out much narrower than I hoped for (16.5" vs 17.5"):

The remake was finished in the beginning of September ( a few days ago ) and today I got some QC info:
Size 36
Pit2pit 19.75” / 50cm
Sleeve 24.25” / 61.6cm
Back 23.5” / 59.7cm
Hem 17.25 / 43.8cm
Half belt height 17.25 / 43.8cm
Shoulder 17.25” / 43.8cm

I definitely prefer the color of the first one, but might also be different lighting. The color in this last photo of the inner lining pocket looks much better:

Now I'm eagerly waiting for the jacket to arrive, hopefully next week.
First Aero incoming!

These Aero jackets look 100000x beter than your initial Simmons Bilt order with it's double side adjusters. Leather looks infinitively nicer as well.

Also have this used Iron Heart Type 1 denim jacket in size XS/34 coming in from Germany.
Not a denim jacket guy at all myself, but the price was reasonable, the model is rare and it's my size.
Might as well try something from Iron Heart for the first time.
And a type 1 is rather unique/rare in the denim jacket world.
It is also cut less boxy/short than usual. Love the denim color and high contrast stitching.
Let's see if it fits when I get it next week :)

So I got new boots by Balenciaga. Quality and awesomeness, which is insane, aside, these two boots are supposed to be the same size which is EU 46. So now I gotta track down a 44, apparently.

How did you convince them to do that inside pocket in the lining for you? Looks great.

That’s some dedicated wearing right there, much more difficult to age jackets than jeans, or so I’ve read.

The first thing that came to mind when you mentioned Balenciaga are the AI generated meme videos that have been very popular recently.

Well initially I asked for a lining pocket after seeing this photo of an Aero jacket:

What I got with the first jacket was this (there was a misunderstanding, instead of an lining pocket I got a lining pocket AND a normal inner pocket):

I think the eventual final version is the best and closest to what I wanted / had in mind.
So basically you just have to convince them that it is something they have done in the past - then they can't say no :D

How denim fades depends much more on the type of denim than it does on whether it is a pair of jeans or a jacket.
I have a pair of jeans that fades like crazy and another pair that has less than 1/4 of the fading with the same amount of wear.
Another catch with this particular jacket is that it ain't denim - it's actually indigo duck canvas. Will be very interesting to see how it compares with actual denim.

I think what you've got in the final one is the best, horizontal welt pocket in the lining. The G-1 style

pocket can get a bit bulky, too much leather. The suit style horizontal inside pocket is the best. This is the first time I've seen it on Aero jacket. Actually no, I have that on my premier coat, but that's it. Wish they add this as a normal option.

Oh totally, I was thinking like for like when it comes to the cloth on jeans vs jackets - the IH jacket is canvas? Even a slower fade in that case.

My OG Bros 15 came today. I like it a lot. Didn't have a burgundy in my collection.

It is a hand dyed, veg tan horsehide with an uneven finish. The pics definitely emphasize the tone differences, but it's still slightly noticeable in person.

Very soft and plush feel and quite nice workmanship. The grain is subtle but also not too smooth. These are made by Y2 under spec for OG bros in limited reservation runs. I've always liked the y2 workmanship but questioned some of their stylistic or patterning choices, so I feel like OG giving them styling input is kind of the best of both worlds.

Fit is good. I thought it looked quite small when I opened it, but it worked out fine on the body. It does have that 'smuggling wallets in your armpit' feelin you get with the a2 pattern sometimes but not too bad.
