I'm sure it's up for auction for purely collecting purposes. Would you wear a coat you shelled out 40,000. to 50,000. clams for? Think about that, you could buy this coat or a perfectly restored vintage car!

The ad shows some photos from one of the films (Last Crusade?). I cannot tell for sure, but it doesn't look like the same jacket. Wonder if it is from another Indy film?

If perhaps this was the original indy jacket and there was just one in the world and he died while wearing it, and it was signed by ford and spielberg and it was solid gold and... well you get my point.

They probably had 5 or so jacket just for this film... You could have bought a horse farm and had enough leather for 20 jackets...
