Linings for Longer jackets?

Has anyone had problems keeping linings nice on longish jackets in the 29" range, due to the sitting on, pulling on etc. etc.? Wondering if this is a consideration, and if a more durable lining such as cotton drill in the same color as the jacket may be preferable on these styles

Cotton drill - I got 15 years in a long half-belt in this material. I don't think there's much difference in how a long or short jacket wears. I've usually found that wear below the hips is very light. I find that a jacket wears around the armpits, sleeve ends and around the belt-line.
