Not vintage but..... ?

As I'm a teen and I'm starting the vintage clothes-collecting, I had no money to buy a suit for a ball next weak, so I bought this not vintage one:

What do you think? Does fit in the Era? Would a brown Fedora with a black band match with it?

It should work out ok. Lapels are on the small side and the armholes seem pretty big though to the average person it should convey the basic look you're after.

Brown fedora will work.

One thing you should do is get a nice real vintage tie. They're cheap and it will make the whole outfit seem more authentic.

It's okay for a modern look.

Lapels are too small for 40's, and the collar and tie aren't my cup of tea. Tie's too thick and the collar is too spread.

Overall it is a good look.

Yeah I also don't like the tie, but I just bought the suit so it doesn't matters! I'm planning to get a brown tie to match more to my Fedora.

Suit and tie look pretty good. Lapels on the small side for vintage, but a nice suit. Tie should work well with the suit ...
