I'm just hoping it will cool down from the high 90s soon so I can wear it!

Lightweight unlined hats: love em! This is a fine example, Randy.

I may have on more than one occasion held off on a post for that very reason. It's like, "Crap, can't follow that."

Nice! I've never seen a felted edge on a western style hat like that. I like it. I imagine the felt to be pretty thin and lightweight?

All's well down here. Hope the same up your way. Sure looks it from the hat. Gonna try to get up that direction when it cools down a little and take in some fall color in the hills. Maybe we can catch up and I can see that 7X up close.

  11. Boxing up some hats I found this Stetson 3X OR I forgot I had. I know I haven't posted this up before. Check it out @ size 7-7/8! Pretty rare & hard to find I would think.

Sometimes, rarely, even some old hat is my size
    Lobbia BB 7 R.jpg
"Lobbia" Barbisio REX size 59, black felt
    Lobbia BB 5 R.jpg
Sold in Berlin at the Max Eckard store
    Lobbia BB interno totale R.jpg
The interest for this Barbisio is the fact that inside the sweat band there is stamped the origin of the skin: Paris - France and a date that I cannot decipher the month and day, but the year is 1939 (for a clear picture I have to use professional equipment)
    Lobbia BB 4. Rjpg.jpg
The felt is very soft and silky, in its composition there is fur and also wool
    Lobbia BB 3 R.jpg
These are the dimensions: 5.5 curled brims, 14 cm open crown. the finishes are first class
Lobbia BB 2 cupola aperta R.jpg
A eighty years old hat from Sagliano Micca will worth some thrilling in delivery

  14. This could have Charlie's name all over it.

Thanks. It’s light for a western. The felt is more like a standard dress weight than a true lightweight.

The box is a piece of art work in its own right. You scored a double win there Bama. Love to see more pics of it.
