A lot of 4 hats came in today!
First one: Borsalino Bubani M. Legno.
Nice brown color and long hair finish.

Borsalino Misto Legno, not so common with a very nice felt and a "fantasy" ribbon that needs a little work
A C. Bubani from Ravenna, probably a Borsalino who knows? No label inside, but a very nice hat in a light grey color. Also very lightweighted.

Not a Borsalino that in some way always sign the hats. I think it is a workmanship production. Very nice
Panizza Ediston also in a grey color.
Very nice hat in a mint condition.
Sharkgills treatment on the bow, i always like that.

My favourite of the lot. It was one of the last very well made Italian hats made in the last relevant production of the Italian hatters

New to me, Stetson Imperial Finish Norwalk. Not a particularly notable hat for these parts, but one that has a real similarity with the first fedora I owned as a teenager, a Stetson Key Club of unremembered style. It was black, had a sharks gill ribbon (unlike this bow) and was a thinner felt. The underwelt on this one is different too. I bought and wore it for religious reasons, but, sadly, I don't think Stetsons are big in that market any longer. They were solid, if not flashy hats.

Nice haul of hats, Marcel. I agree with Daniele that this Panizza is the best of the lot. Very cool.

Altenburger Hut und Putz AHP GmbH, 58 cm, 1990 - 2020 (might receive more precise dating). There is no model information but it has a 4 1/2 inch Crown. I have always been interested in having one of these Altenburger Hut und Putz AHP GmbH Stiff Felt Top Hats because they looked very well made. I am fairly certain this one is made of Wool Felt, and is well finished and has the correct stiffness. The Brim Flange + Curl work are vintage Stiff Felt level. The Bow and Brim Binding are also well executed. The company was facing insolvency in 2022, but found a new owner and was renamed Altenburger Hut & Kostüm GmbH. Looking at the photos of the current models they don't look as well made as this one. Matt lives nearby so maybe he can stop by and see what they are up to. :) Altenburg was a major hat center up to WWII, similar to Guben. I have detailed information on my website.

Another beauty, Gary.

My second Wolfbrae arrived today. Once again, we provided the ribbon material (kimono silk) to make it a one of a kind hat. The head shots get closest to the colour. Initially Robert felt the colour was a little bland, and suggested the strip of plain green fabric in the middle. Etsuko suggested the accent on the bow keep using another piece of kimono fabric we’d sent. Great calls, both of them. Thrilled with the hat.
