Rittenhouse hats

I have seen these come up on the Bay from time to time but a search of both Google and the Lounge brings up a fat zero in terms of history. Is anyone even vaguely familiar with this maker?
Where do they sit in the pantheon of quality?
The only references on the Lounge are to hats from the late 40's. Were they made into the 50's and later?

Well, no responses so it is safe to assume Rittenhouse is a very obscure brand.

I'd guess you're correct.Several makers(Beaver Brands)comes to mind produced hats for multiple stores.

Rittenhouse is a market street in Philly so yeh, perhaps it is made by such as Beaver as private label for a menswear store on Rittenhouse Street. I paid $60 for it and it appears never worn so am curious as to its quality. I have a few Beaver Brand hats with which to compare. Nothing comes up at all in a search of Corporate Records for a "Rittenhouse" so it really leads one to think of it as strictly a brand not an actual hat maker.
