Stetson Hampton

Took a ride into Oakland CA this morning with my cousin to visit the Hat Guys. He has enjoyed hats for a few years and was looking for a new fedora.
Well I couldn't resist myself and picked up a new Stetson Hampton in Graphite. Nice silky fur with 2 3/8" brim.

That little Stetson pin had to go.

That's a sweet lid, sort of precursor to the new Whippet. I think of them as an upper-class Chatham. I seem to remember that the Hampton has a silk finish - how furry is it?

too lower crown for my taste and for your face shape, look at the pic. in your wall that is a nice proportion for hats.

Thanks Al, I think I have to agree I prefer a higher crown. Also an asymmetrical brim of 2 5/8" x 2 3/8" would be a nice look.
