T.E.Lawrence?

That hat says adventure, and for my $ the name is T.E.Lawrence-aka Lawrence
of Arabia, one of British historys' greats, and I think they invented romantic heroes; saving up my money quick for one, no matter what the name-that'll turn enough heads to keep a chiropracter busy...M

Great Hats--Great People

Art,
Your respect for the traditional mixed with your need for the innovative is one of the reasons you maintain such an elevated position in the world of custom hats. Of course it doesn't hurt that your choice of materials mixed with top notch craftsmanship seal the deal.

Two ideas for hat inspiration come to my confused head. One could be named the "HST" in honor of the simple habedasher from Independence Missouri who became President of the United States. My rememberance of him from my youth were his pictures in the New York Times jauntily taking his "constitutional" on Park Avenue wearing a Palm Beach Suit, an optimo crowned panama, and an simple walking stick. Despite his mild-mannered
appearance, the earned the title of "Give 'em hell Harry." He deserves a
Vintage Silhouettes creation.

The other person who comes to mind is Raymond Loewy, perhaps the greatest industrial designer of modern times. He took style, shape, color and dynamics to a new level and changed the way we consider beauty.
Of course I must give myself some credit for naming a VS one-of-a-kind hat the "Studebaker" which looked just as streamlined coming or going. A hat created to his sense of design might not be a bad idea.

Hi Everyone,
In another thread we have been discussing the Quatermain hat in King Soloman's Mine and I have been working on a prototype for that hat. I have had to order more felts to make it so in the mean time Ii have played with some 'what ifs" on this style. So, what if, I coerced a felt maker to dye some pure beaver felts to a color that isn't offered, and what if I took the same style but only one brim, and what if I dressed it up rather than "bush" it out, and since we named the KS hat "Bwana" what if we renamed this hat with the same meaning but different term...I think we'd have "The Boss"
Please allow me to intruduce you to "The Boss"
The Boss in Palomino

I was digging around trying to find a modern version of the "Boss of the Plains" hat, and came across this thread.

Great-looking hat - what did this finally end up as?
