Since the thread for Simonds caps has been closed, I have opened a 'group' called 'Simonds Cap fans' as a place to discuss the caps made by Barry. Click on 'community' and there's a drop-down menu - 'groups' can be found there.
Hopefully those of you who have bought caps from Barry will join the group so we have a convenient place to go to discuss his caps, look at new styles and details and discuss cloths we are considering for caps.

My new Cordova 8 Dart Denim is a great addition to the caps I would of never worn a few months ago! I will not miss this 90 degree heat!

I've just been in contact with Johnny about making a very similar one! I've opted for a newsboy style. It looks great on you.

" Die gute Breitermütze " " The good Breiter Cap " is arrived yesterday. A Cap from Breiter, a hatmaker from Munich.
Probably from the 30s or 40s. with the old German lettering Sütterlin. The condition inside is like new from the outside I could remove all stainings and soilings!

John, thank you very much! The seller wrote it has a size 55 but it was larger a 57-58. My size is 56.
I have sewn it a bit smaller in the inside, now it fits!

Really like the fabric on this cap, Manfred! Looks like silk, is it?

Barry, thank you very much. I know nothing about the fabric, because there is no label inside. The lining could be silk!
