Anybody see the Simpsons on this past Sunday? It was the annual Halloween special (a little late?), and it had a War of the Worlds parody entitled "The Day America Was Stupid" (or something similar to that). It set the contemporary characters in 1938 Springfield and showed them, well... getting stupid when faced with Orson Welles' broadcast. It was pretty funny seeing Disco Stu as Swing Dancin' Stu, and to see the sound-effects man's reaction to Welles' demand to hear "aliens playing xylophones in a bowling alley near an airport".

I saw it. It was pretty funny to see Otto riding a bike with two cathedral radios strapped to his head... and they picked some good tunes for the soundtrack too.
