I can see why you look like the cat that got the cream, Joe. That is indeed one you wouldn't want to take off. Well, not until the next beauty came along [emoji4].

Thanks guys.. I appreciate it. Really enjoying this one.

Best,
Joe

If you swap out again, John, I'll take that ribbon off your hands.
I have a long hair, oatmeal Dobbs 25 that arrived with a felt self ribbon before l learned to appreciate one. I removed it, and have yet to replace it. Two purchases of vintage Grosgrain arrived Petersham. Then my focus moved on. That is the color I was aiming at, though.
It's unlikely that I will change it, as the color combo has really grown on me. But I will keep you in mind if I do.

I hope everyone had a peaceful weekend. Trying to catch up with all the fantastic headwear from last week. Winter is has finally caught up to us here in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Fuzzy hat weather indeed.

So it's an opportunity more than anything, Reggie! Nice one.

Omg! I have to come to the Netherlands!

You should. It isn't all that different from Denmark. Apparently there are more hats to be found here, or so I've been told;)

Today.....i just came in from the out and grabbed some shots while the tiny tornado, Willow, slept. Good girl!!
Baby it’s cold outside, so i’m doing my best @Michael A imitation by bringing out the bear beast. Sounds better than sheep beast.
Several sheep gave their all for the coat and a few beaver for the hat. Thank you.
Yesterday was a black hat day....today it’s a sugar white Knox Forty’s take on an OR.
Be well. Bowen
Who would have thought a coöperation between beaver and sheep would have such a splendid result !?!

Great combo, Stefan. Always a sharp dressed man yourself!
Thanks, Randy!

I've become so used to you looking impeccable that I don't always comment, Fabio. But you have it down to an art. Respect.

A beauty, Perry.

Man, I’m going International this morning:

Italy: Borsalino
Irish: Aran Sweater
Switzerland: Nespresso
Germany: Lamy Fountain Pen
U.S.A: Allen Edmonds

And probably some China in there somewhere, though I do try to limit it.....

I like the way you're thinking, Tim: get the best of anything!

Good morning from a Verona with sun and the temperature that is falling.

Antonin France Chapeaux de Luxe size 60 or 7 1/2 US
View attachment 207274
It is unlined like its brother in grey and only with a tip on the bottom of the crown
View attachment 207275
No indication of felt color and neither of the type
View attachment 207276
It is a hat that comes directly from the eve of the Second World War or, perhaps, immediately afterwards.
The felt is very thin and malleable with a medium brown color, the ribbon matches the color of the felt

Thanks for the likes for the Antonin in grey and your kind words
My compliments to you all loungers, your hats are beautiful
Magnifique!

Borsalino Qualitá Speciale today. It's somewhat unusual colour is represented by Borsalino's name for it "Ontano". I believe it refers to the colour of the bark of the alder tree.
I'm grateful yet again to the Dutchman for finding this one with me in mind.
Thanks, Stefan [emoji145]

Great hat. Great tie. Great coat. All together it’s just what we’ve come to expect of you! The total is more than the sum of its parts.

Thanks everyone for all the kind words yesterday for the coat and stuff.
Much appreciated.
Today...this hat would have paired much better with yesterday’s coat, which i had intended. But, i was wearing a white hat to ward off the bad JuJu of late.
So....here’s a very fine wide brimmed tall crown’d, hairy beast of a hat, gilled and feathered, Stetson 3X Fifteen.
It just looks warm sitting there.
Be well. Bowen
Ps: a little old lady, about my age lol, told me she liked my hat at the grocery check out. So hey they ain’t invisible.

Fluffy goodness and gills; what's not to like?

Wow, what an exceptional Marathon, Joe. Fantastic beauty! Marathon has escaped me so far.

Well this beauty arrived yesterday. And here she is right outta the box with no cleaning up at all. Been wearing it all day. Don’t want to take it off. Think I am in love!![emoji7]

Penny’s Marathon

Color light tan

Size 7 fits perfectly [emoji108]

Brim 2 5/8

About 4 1/2 crown as creased

1 1/16 matching ribbon with very cool shark gills pattern

Matching trim on brim

The beautiful tan felt is thin soft and moldable. While not the same... this is about as close as I’ve come across to the felt of my Dobbs gay prince.

Today....i’m standing in the wind and rain in a black hat and wondering why...

It seems there is a lot of grief going around for many here, in our own lives, the lives of those we love and those we know nothing of.
Why always seems to pervade our minds and emotions and probably has since the dawn of man.
For some 46 years this Why song has brought somber relief, tears and reflection, and to this day it seems to make my Why days better.
I hope it does for those who are wearing “black hats” for other’s who’s time of no more whys has arrived.
They don’t write music like this anymore. I’m glad i was young when they did.
Thanks for your tolerance.
Bowen

Winwood/Capaldi were a great song writing team. Probably Capaldi lyrics. Thanks B.
