Dog soirée completed and stopping in the yard I was pleased to find that the raspberries are starting to ripen. Oh yes!
Marathon Air Command was my blue hat today. Air Force blue felt.
What a terrific hat sold at Penny's.
Cheers, Eric -
Beautiful Blues and reds Eric.
Trying to get in a few more days with this cream colored Moore Hat Co. Bulldogger after Labor Day. Faux pas!
And this state is still averaging around 1200 new cases of covid daily. Masks & bandanas are still a necessity.
She’s a beauty, ya rebel
No Worries, Jack, that's a nice one. And I would wear a white hat any time of year.
Back in the summers before covid changed the culture I can remember wearing black hats but only in a bar (remember those?) after dark.
A bar? hmmm, it's coming back to me now....
Nice ... and nice band! This should be in the "Hat on a Stick" thread as well.
Wow, a Western Borsalino. Great shape and love the ribbon, Brent.
If ever Borsalino start making Western style hats again, they should make you their model. Cool look.
That Playboy looks great
Thanks, Steve. This was a wide brim fedora made for the religious market. I westernized it some in shape and appointments.
Nice reshape and appointments, Brent. I have a Borsalino originally made for my orthodox brethren. A wide, flat brimmed Homburg, which I curled some to give it a more "classic" Homburg look.
You've inspired me to reshape the next one I come across into a Western.
Nice Stetson today. Thang looks brand new!
KILLER, killer! I always wondered if those hats would convert well. For you, they certainly do!
Are they as hard shelled as they look?
I used to tan and make bands like that from well dead rattlers when in my late teens. Too wise these days, to go gigging them fanged thangs from gopher turtle holes.
This band is thin and light. I got it second hand and I really like it. I’ve bought a couple snakeskin bands on Etsy and the quality and service is great, but the bands are a bit heavy. I wonder if they lighten much as they season? The hat is quite soft, more fedora than western in nature. The good part is these wide brim Borsalinos can often be found at quite reasonable prices.
