Nobody complains about Terry converting vintage western and Borsalino hats into fedoras. I just change the size of them a teeny little bit, keeping the same shape, ribbon, sweat, and liner, and Charlie and Mark call me heretic. Sheesh. [emoji2]

  8. Looks great, Terry. I would never have guessed it started as a homburg. I’m heading to the Corral now to see the transformation.

Stefan, Thank you! I really like wearing this hat. It's actually fairly light weight which doesn't make sense visually.

It might be the "teeny little bit" that bothers them, Max. But you know: a heretic now and maybe a visionary in fifty years time!:D

At Michael's request. Charcoal coat and the Brent today (to get a feel how his blue Marathon would look on me:D)

Ha ha! You're lucky! My wife makes sure I understand every name she's calling me! It's just her temperament I don't understand! So what if I introduce her as my wife by marriage. That's no reason for her to get furious with me and to go off the deep end. It ain't like we're actually blood related!

I like to refer to mine as "my first wife," but only because I thrive on stnk-eye.

Under a favorite this sunny Sabbath. Dalton thin ribbon.

LOL! When I introduced Ana to my friends, 25 years ago, I said she was "my next ex-wife". She still remembers it.

Cold weather continues with a 7'f temp during my dog walk this early Sunday morning. Wool cap and wool jacket needed.

Active outside chores this morning found me in a different cap.

A quick trip picking up groceries and meat at the butcher shop had me wearing a VS thin ribbon fedora (dove felt with a charcoal ribbon).

Grilling some fish for brunch in a vintage Stetson Bantam. It has warmed up to 17'f. Cheers!

    Best to all, Eric -

Stetson Bantam. I might be misremembering, but it was the first vintage hat I was proud of acquiring. At the time, I thought the felt was dreamy. Now that I have better felts the Bantam feels OK, but not superior. So many things in life are about comparison.

Edit: I just noticed Eric wearing a Bantam a couple posts above mine. His is nicer. [emoji2]

Somedays.....you just gotta match your hat to the jacket.
So...the return of the Camoliner with a jacket that looks like a pile of....leaves.
In honor of tomorrow’s buck season.
    Be safe and well. Bowen
