Appreciate that! I think this is about the only Champ I've ever been tempted to bid on in an auction and it attracted a good bit of interest when auctioned last year. It took more of a Stetson-type bid than a Champ bid to bring this baby home.
I think everyone's more familiar with George Jones' version, but J.P. Richardson, the Big Bopper's real name, wrote the song and recorded the original version. He was killed in a plane crash along with Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens.Wearing my No.1 Quality Stetson conversion this afternoon....
