A trio of superb hats, Stefan. I don't know which one I like best. Ah shucks, just send me all three in my size .

Thanks, Steve. This may be rubbing salt in the wound, but two out of these three are actually marked as bigger hats: the Dunn is a 57 and the Albino a 59! (it's nowhere near that size, but the tag still persists).

Actually, I don't either. Done with that.
    I was only
    joking about the auctions.

Just goes to show, you can never fully rely on a tag size. Glad they fit you Stefan because they sure suit you. Or is it the other way round?

Today....this one’s for all you hat wearing car guys that know how to check the oil and turn a wrench.
Never wear your hat even if you’re good and it’s an old no name Bristol DeLux.
I’ll let you nonbelievers know if a gas bath works on 190,000 miles of grime! Lol
    Be well tuned. Bowen
    Ps: race mode’s back on.

IME the white gas works especially well on grease and grime. Rust type stains, not so much.

    Thanks Doug.

Those are quite probably my widest lapels. ha ha.

    Thanks Stefan.

Another fine trio of hats. I'm not sure how you can make up your mind on one hat in the morning. You have so many fine ones.

    Thanks,
    Michael

An adaptable head; now that would be something! I consider myself very lucky indeed with my hat size already actually, because I can more or less rely upon a good many vintage hats fitting me.

I've been telling myself I need to run up there. We attend the Greeley Blues Jam almost every year, but it was too close on the heels of my sister's death this year. It's also something she regularly attended, so will probably be a little melancholy from now on. She's never been to the hatworks though, and it's only an hour away.

I'm sorry to hear about your sister, Jeff, I didn't know that. Run up that place, go to that jam, remember her while you're there. She'll always be a part of you no matter where you go. She's in your heart.

Today I put on a Royal Stetson with a remarkably velvet felt that I just love. The brim's much smaller than I think I like, but after I reshaped the crown last night with a new bash, I really like how this stingy looks too.
It's a size big on me, so I have a question in the question thread about it, as well.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Nice shape, colour, brim size, wide ribbon and bow, Rehat. What's to be in doubt about?

Feel free to post your hat in the jacket thread, R. They are nice folks, too!

I'm seripusly thinking about drumming the sweatband for fit. I've never done it before, and haven't even seen it discussed around here. That's what I ask about in the other thread.
Thank you for comfirming my sense of this hat.

Cloud cover 'til about 11 am.

I lost about $10 dollars today, and also had to pay 1/4 of the breakfast check.
