Back from work early today found me moving mulch in a coated straw hat. The on and off again rain and humid conditions make this hat a great choice. The Peoples Clothing Co. in Boone, IA sold the correct hat for today. The logo of "Styles of Tomorrow" was well planned and executed. Planning nearly 80+years in advance is remarkable.

I need to run an errand to our local butcher shop and changed to an unlined vtg. Stetson Playboy in a gray felt. Light weight rules in 78'f and 70' humidity! Warm, but not uncomfortable on the head.

Last two days involved a Stephen Stetson soft crown derby/lords hat. Really unusual and I often wear it with a front pinch. Black seemed like the only thing that could be worn with that bright yellow shirt.

Also, the Falcon Park Virtuoso is about as festive as I get with “independence day “ attire.
My jeans are blue.

I can't think of a better hat to wear to the butcher.
Or the baker.
Or the cadlestick maker.
Beautiful lid, Eric.

Thanks Jeff. Agreed the Iowa straw occupies a unique place in the pantheon of hats to be worn.

You wear the bowler with ease -congrats. The world needs more Flacon Park 30's styled hats.

Hückel Weilheim "Chamois" possibly mid to later 1950s and a recent arrival.

Steve your felts are fun to see. Thanks for edifying us of all hat things not on the North American continent. A big world of hats exists.

Two great looking ones today!

Thanks sir. Nice to be able to contribute.

I can't think of a better hat to wear to the butcher.

Beautiful lid, Eric.

Thanks sir. Hats and caps accompany me on my activities and adventures. Truth be told, like most they are mundane.

I'm too in awe to comment yet on the prescient tomorrow hat.

I enjoy the advertising slogans, pics and creative energy that existed during the heyday of our vintage hats.

Thanks folks for the likes and comments!

We all do.
It's special though when they get it so right.
Thanks for sharing it.
