Great look, Steinbockhase, but here in the urban US where those originated it is called a “Durag.” Pronounced “DOO-rag”. You ROCK it, too, my friend!!
Thank B, don't know how to describe the felt on this one. It is so light and thin, but easily bashed. It has a glow to the felt I don't see on any of my other hats. Weird, huh? Alan, not only are your fine hats a joy to behold your staging and photography are equally impressive. You seem to have a great area where natural light is abundant and a keen eye for how to adjust them to capture just the right light.
Ha, thanks! How’d you guess? I think the shade is pretty close. It’s a moss green western weight rabbit felt. The tan ribbon makes it pop, I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Greetings All: Today....vintage Stratoliner. I never realized this hat had some green until today. Thanks 40Cal. A fine hat. Hope all is well with you. Be well. Bowen
It certainly does, Jeff. Great moss green colour and tan ribbon combo. Super cool hat all round. Sent from my HUAWEI VNS-L31 using Tapatalk
That Strat has a great green hue to it, Bowen. Super rake and ribbon, too. Sent from my HUAWEI VNS-L31 using Tapatalk
Thank you. Molly threw a fit because her hat is red, but Liberty's is pink. She liked red hats before, but changed her mind. Women! Sent from my LGMP260 using Tapatalk
Good day! Yesterday evening I was hatted in a vintge Stetson Stratoliner. This 50's version has nearly 2 7/8" brim. Great hat for a summer evening. This morning I changed out the bar on my chainsaw. I was struggling with a long bar and sized down. Picking up supplies and the change in a coated straw hat. This afternoon I have hot/humid weather to tolerate when I fell a pine tree. Cheers. Eric -
Thanks, Steve. I did have a lot of fun last week going through all my hats and one or two of this rotation volunteered for duty.
The Vintage Strat would be great on any evening, Eric. Fantastic green colour on that one. Sent from my HUAWEI VNS-L31 using Tapatalk
I like the brim flange on that hat a lot, Scott. It is a hat I read only superlatives about here on the lounge. Maybe I should start looking for one.
It's nice when one's hats are willing to step up to the plate Sent from my HUAWEI VNS-L31 using Tapatalk
The dark spots are where the mothing was. I scratched the bites with a needle and after scratching the felt was a little darker in color. They're a little hard to see in the photos. But even with the little dark spots this is still the best hat I have.
