Hard to pick a favorite between those Stetsons and Gannons, great hats! Your pictures and framing are top notch too.

Headed to Osaka for the night after work on Saturday.
Etsuko wore her Toucan Collection hat for its first outing.

Dinner at a place specialising in smoked food was a disappointment - it all tasted good, just not particularly smoky.

Lunch today at a French/Italian place was great.

I spent the weekend in my Akubra Range. This hemp Akubra is Etsuko’s favourite of my summer hats.

Greetings All:
Today....enjoying the cool morning in a cool Churchill Beaver 100 with Vicuna.

I got caught up reading the Churchill threads after seeing a fine Resistol (@deadlyhandsome) View attachment 435887 View attachment 435888 View attachment 435889 in another thread which reminded me of this Churchill. Not surprising recalling Resistol made Churchills at this time, i believe.
Be well and safe.

Oooh, so nice to see that one again. Reminds me to wear my Churchill more often. Such a fine hat.

First post, been lurking for years. Gifted a Stratoliner for my 50th. Very happy.
Welcome to the lounge. A great start. looking forward to see more of your hats.

Beautiful Mayser wildleder, Dave.

Congrats, Marcel. Now get your hat back from that old guy!

A hat in its own league!
Yesterday afternoon found me under the brim of a Stetson Buccaneer.

Excellent hats and pics, Gary. I can see Etsuko's point. Great pug on that hat.

Today's weather reminded me of our first classic car, only back then, it wasn't seen as classic. But when the sun shone the wood just looked fabulous.

It was that reminisce that prompted Tina to make me an Aloha style shirt with "Woodie" cars on.
shirts 150.JPG shirts 151.JPG
The woodie shirt was today's choice of wear and to compliment it I chose one of my bespoke fedoras, the deep brown one:

"Much too sombre," Tina commented. "Do you think so?" I replied, adding, "the only straw that I have is a bit mis-shapen." I put it on for effect.
Hat & shirt 001.JPG
I know, it's a different shirt, truth be told I couldn't be arsed to find the hat knowing that I had a previous photo of it.
opera glasses 013.JPG
So it was off with the deep brown and on with the nutmeg. "Oh come on," Tina said, "you can do better than that." "What's so wrong about this one?" I replied. "Nothing," she said.

Now if you are not married you won't understand the word: "nothing!" You see, nothing is really a big, "something!" But being married I carefully coaxed out her displeasure: "Shall I wear the straw?" "No, but you can wear your new hat," she replied.

So that's it, sunshine equates to a light coloured hat. "Yes dear," I agree.

That's something else you should learn if you are not married. "Yes dear," it goes a long way.
