Is that LA?
Yes, Musso's is in Hollywood. Has been rated as having the best martini in the US. Oldest place in town. I visited last week. It's been a favorite place of mine for 40 years, so I'm always happy to gush about it. Many things have been on the menu for, like, 75 years. It's getting into more movies and shows lately. It's prominent in the beginning of the recent "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood." (I suppose there's a thread here somewhere about favorite LA hangouts. I also enjoy the Dresden. Several others...)

Hat from SOBRERERIA MEDRANO, from Spain, the oldest hat shop and hat manufacturers on the peninsula, located in Madrid.
Navy Blue Classic Fedora made of 100% superior wool felt, waterproof and crushable. Wing 5.5 cm. Cotton inner band. Brim cut with an overlock to the edge, which allows the hat to be given diverse shapes. Grosgrain ribbon to match the hat.
I bought this hat on a quick visit to Madrid a few months ago.

Chicago—I think it’s called Berghoffs?
Good guess! Similarly classic place. But I think mine has the edge. It's Musso's in LA. I enjoy the Berghoff in Chi. Solid Deutsch food. Nice premises. I also really like Shaw's Crab and the Chicago AC. All these have the oldworld styling.

I visited the Beghoff many, many (>30) years ago. I still have a beer mug from there. I had heard that it is no longer open.
Berghoff is still happening. Looks nice. German food. Near there I also suggest Shaw's Crab and the Chicago AC. ...Similar vintage vibes. The AC has a semi-rooftop pub overlooking the Bean and Art Institute area.
