...somehow it doesn't feel complete without a white dog in the shot. :)
It was actually cool enough to wear this one out tonight. Yay

In an all Art Fawcett trade with @Judgmentalist he received a newer Art in his size that I had in my collection while I received a Vintage Silhouettes on my size. Two winners, I think.

Beautiful hat - I’m glad it worked out for both of us - love the details in this one - the frayed ribbon, (look at the bow on this thing <3) the VS on the liner, the old-school size sticker, felt/ribbon color combo - I love it!!

Today I pulled out my one and only bona fide bowler. This is the hat (not this one, specifically, this shape) that started me down this dark path about 20 years ago. I tried on a bowler in the hat shop in Charleston, SC, and I immediately thought "how 'bout that - I hat I don't hate on me". I had previously not been a "hat guy" at all - no baseball caps, nada.

I got the thumbs down from my wife, who said I would never wear it; too costume-y, so unfortunately I put back on the shelf. She may have cost me twenty years of hat-collecting, but probably saved me 20k and at least one marriage. ;)

Anyway, we are making up for lost time, and this winter I will prove her wrong lol.

Burton Taylor Bowler. One of my favorite hats. Not actually wearing it on a tilt - I think my head is just naturally crooked :)
