This IS a cracking hide. Surprising really that it’s not spoken of more frequently here on the lounge.....

That's the best hide Aero has to offer IMHO. The cordo steer is the stuff of dreams. I've been steadily breaking mine in with inside wear and it still has quite a long way to go. Hopefully by the fall I can load some decent images to fully capture it's intense depth of color and magnificent grain.

@dan_t yep that does look the tits no doubt about it though I imagine it must weigh a ton. As an aside, you're looking in good nick yourself too. Have you been at in the gym or on an atkins diet or something? Whatever it is, you should stick at it

No pics but while fueling my car at a station in the middle of Alaska the fellow in line behind me came up and complemented on how great my A2 looked. I said thanks, my only A2 is a GW Doniger. I told him about GW and some of the other makers, wait times and costs. He said the quality is very obvious.

Nothing much, just running 10klms every day & eating healthy.

@dan_t , best Highwayman fit I’ve seen. Or possibly top 5. But since I can’t recall the others, designating it #1.

Well yes, it IS a superb jacket with even better provenance ;)

Hey guys, today it is my new Headwind USN 37J1 jacket in our new Chestnut Capeskin. This hide is amazing in hand. Thick yet light weight and very soft with insane graining. A virtual match to other examples of the grainier Cape seen in vintage photos.

OUTSTANDING!!!
The uniformity of that grain throughout is a sight to behold!!
I can’t even imagine how it will look and feel down the road!!
Thanks for the post.
