That shirt is amazing, I have never seen, or even heard of the process, other than painting and decorating. You can get a similar effect on the walls with what we call rag rolling.

Just got home from a Theater folk "Sharknado 5" party. I thought the Ortega straw and wild pug with a fish themed Hawaiian shirt was appropriate garb.

Looking the part Red and that lovely sunshine just sets the tone right. The only thing missing, a nice, long, cool pina colada:

It's been a busy, but rather enjoyable day. My wife Tina has styled twelve ladies back into wartime 40's. Hair, make-up, clothes and shoes. The girls are producing a saucy calendar girlesque type calendar with Land Army girls as their theme. Some have been brave enough to get their kit off but the finished result will be elegant, if a tad racy. Their efforts (and bravery) stems from one of the ladies who was diagnosed with breast cancer five years ago. As well as having a double mastectomy she went through painful chemo, hair loss et al. But here she is, five years on in life. no sign of the cancer returning and now having breast augmentation. She's such a stoic woman, how we love her. Er, did I mention that my car was a prop for some of the photos? I know, it's hard work, but someone has to do it. I wore my light grey blazer, the shirt depicting the golden era of travel and one of Esther's finest lids.

Johnny, the shirt pattern looks like bamboo leaves, (great hat by the way,) I have a bamboo design, it's become known as the wacky baccy shirt due to the appearance of the leaves.

You're too kind, thank you for the compliment. Birds of paradise make for a lovely shirt pattern, although truth be told, I need some light coloured T shirts, i have quite a few but they are either in the wash or waiting to be ironed. Even when it's really hot, I wear a T shirt underneath. Reason being, it protects the outer shirt, meaning my Aloha shirts only ever need a light wash, this in turn makes them keep their colour. Where was I? Oh yes, T shirts, I've still got plenty of dark ones that I can wear, so it's dark shirt day today.

This is a nice combination with the dark hat. You wear it well, as usual.

Now that is a fabulous combination, a beautiful shirt, a fantastic lid and a fine, good looking son, what else could make it perfect? Your smile of course, it demonstrates how much you love your shirt, not to mention your hat and I nearly forgot that fine looking fella of a son.
My smile on the other hand is more of a grimace, contrived for the camera. But, this shirt is the one that gets noticed most. My missus saw the material on the website of the lady in Honolulu where she buys most of her materials and just knew I would love it. Dead right. Mind you the made to measure Henley style trousers help, as do the similarly made to measure shoes, only the Biltmore hat is off the peg. And yet despite my best efforts at being 'cool,' I'm so easily upstaged by my vintage MG.

Thanks Red, I'm deliberating on a fabric. My popular Route 66 shirt has had too many wears and washes, it's still looking good though, just a little faded. Tina says that Alexander Henry, the fabric manufacturer, has brought out a Route 66 black background. Here's us in the familiar shirt and then a swatch of the new fabric. Anyone have any thoughts?

This dark Hawaiian shirt hasn't had near enough wear time as I have been procrastinating the repair of a flaw discovered only after wearing it twice. But I love the cotton material and the colors and pattern.

Worn here with a Dobbs Temptation that comes with a shiny, silken shorthair finish. I don't see many around, but they have these in dark navy and black as well as the dark chocolate brown seen here.
