    Ricky Jackets

Reversible The very first leather jacket I ever encountered was a civilian jacket owned by an uncle away in the War. It was a cossack style FQHH with a reversible corduroy lining. It was the look and smell and feel of that jacket that got my lifelong interest. I later acquired it and always...

Why & when do we love the A-2 & other leather jackets?

A2's For me, it was having a couple of uncles in the AF in England and the romance of that generation flying and fighting in WWII. From then on, in movies, Life magazine, vets wearing the A2's after the war, and just guys in lather jackets in high school - I was hooked. Let's face it - they are...

    The B-3 appreciation society …

B3"s All of the above - nicely made, shiny repros - but why? As long as genuine vintage B3's off the backs of the guys who actually flew in them and wore them to perfection, I prefer the really "broken in" real ones! Glad you all like them though.

    My Aero Long Half Belt...

Horse I agree with all you guys - the jacket has real 50's class. However - "dark, rich cordovan" without that dark,, rich horsehide smell would be really disappointing. I have a 1955 cordovan brown belted Windward beauty with fur collar, sheep lining and actual leather reinforcements under the...

    Leather jackets?

PS Jay, I'll try to take a picture of this jacket if you need it. Havn't done that yet.

    Leather jackets?

Jay, I happen too have what you're looking for and I'm trying to get rid of some of my jackets. (Not sure I should be doing this on Fedora Lounge). It's a really fantastic 1954, fleece lined horsehide 3/4 length brown Windward coat in practically brand new condition - just a few scuffs...

    Light Weight Motorcycle Jackets

Mojave The Wolverine jacket is the first actually rugged and solid looking modern leather jacket I've seen in a long time. I'd recommend something like that for down there where you are. The alternative - ride up here to Big Bear where it's usually cool enough to enjoy wearing a real leather...

    New Jacket Required

Peacoats Just read all the above posts. I have a genuine WWII Navy peacoat that was worn by my friend, James Leo Herlihy (the author of Midnight Cowboy!) during the war. He's gone now and left his stuff behind. I'm into leather flight jackets from that era, but don't really want this. It's in...

    JUST ARRIVED-AWESOME MONARCH A2 SIZE 44!

Monarch A2 Beautiful jacket - after getting my first one, I think I'm hooked. I'll watch for this one on You Tube, Andrew. Really enjoying the vintage Aero I just bought from you! I've just bid on a Navy sheepskin and a helmet to match the A2. Keep them coming!

    First original A2!

New A2 I'd like to get an original squadron patch to put on this jacket when I get it.Can anyone tell me (I'm new to this flight jacket sub-culture) where and how to get an original, authentic patch for this beauty when it arrives? I almost feel I'm being entrusted with this bit of history and...

    First original A2!

I just bought a beauty of an A2 horsehide Aero - 70 years off the back of one of our WW II fly boys!It looks really great and Andrew (the source) tells me it "turns heads" when he wears it to air shows. It's quite wearable, despite it's age, and I intend to put it to good use! Pics will come...

    Leather Varsity

Couldn't find my last post about these Canadian Jock Jackets which are a special interest of mine. Different strokes for different folks. This one I just won on Ebay for $20! In case my attempt at sending the photo fails again - it's just like the one on my avatar, but black with Concordia...

    Schott "Windward"

Windward Sorry (really sorry!)I Lost the ones I had in a burglary years back! I do have a Montgomery Ward Windward brown horsehide that looks exactly like the number you're wearing in the picture. Got it on ebay it and it looks pretty good - a bit stiff from age and it's lost that great...

    Schott "Windward"

Back in the late 50's and early 60's, Schott a Perfecto version of the Windward jacket in black steerhide was extremely popular in NYC. I had a couple of them I bought right off some guys backs - really cool. I've been watching for vintage numbers on ebay but no luck. Never see them mentioned...
