Is that like the pumpkins you get with the Autumn Mix candy corn?
Those things are really hard to carve, but fun to eat.
So I see your point. ;)

Don't open the door! That is no ancestor! Autumn will take you across the river Styx. :eeek:

But... it kind of looks like Uncle Jim!

So did they give you candy over there for Halloween?!

They didn't, like, have candy waiting for us while wearing their own costumes, but the neighbors whom knew us well went into their house and found us something. Other neighbors just smiled and waved and closed the door.

(I DO remember the very strange looks we got while traveling to school on the subway, while dressed up for our parties (a private school consisting of overseas children)).

...He seems sweet to me for some reason.
I had the good fortune to meet and briefly speak with Mr. Price about a year before he died. He was extremely charismatic and down-to-earth, and seemed genuinely appreciative that his fans thought of him fondly despite the despicable characters he often played.

That was his secret, he was (in real life) a nice guy.

Leaves coming down all over, after a day of rain and somewhat heavy wind.
Now we have leaves, covered in mud.
Not quite the Norman Rockwell pictures posted here. [huh]

Vincent Price is one suave cat. He's always been one of my favorites. When I was a kid I had this toy that you made shrunken heads out of apples with that he marketed.

One of my daughters, who is adopted from near your corner of the world, was 5 when we got back to the states with her - a week before halloween. She loves it now, but I'm sure that first year she was wondering what she had gotten into.
I can picture her face: :eeek: :hurt:

You don't think I would actually eat one do you?!
You?
Eat a pumpkin?
NEVER! :p

Just wait until you hear the knock at the door this evening
I'm tired of empty promises.
There I was: waiting and waiting.. and HE DIDN'T came.
Maybe you gave him the wrong address. :p

I like to celebrate Día de Muertos. If that thing knocks on my door, it must be an ancestor.

I've just been listening to a lot about Dia de Muertos on Mexican radio. I had heard of it before and I like the idea of it, especially its possible pre-Columbian roots.

Then Evil Winter with Evil Snow will take over. I don't want to hear any its cold complaints either. :p
Oh, well now.. winter is a WHOLE different story. [huh]
The first time I have to pick up a shovel, you'll know about it. :p

I forgot to mention that your tree scenes remind me of this:

Just as Evil as Autumn.

What the.. is that?!
(Must Google, please hold....)
*off google-ing*
....

After some time:
I get it now - it's a "The Twilight Zone"-ish series (must pardon me, I live Behind God's Back where, unfortunately, these stories never spread their influence and educated us that "things are often not as they seem") :p
